Well Eagles fans, if something, and when I say something I mean the officiating, doesn't get better, the Eagles will not win this series. No way should powerplays be 3-1 in favor of ANY team. 11 powerplays are you kidding me? That is awful! Way to go Wayne Bonnney for picking the "Best" refs for the finals. Everybody knows that Sylvain came within inches of blowing a crucial game the Eagles played against OKC. Weibe, well he is just half-witted, one-sided prick, and Lemelin just makes me laugh, my half-blind, selective hearing,84 year old grandfather could do better than all three of them combined. Eagles, if given given even a half-decently fair chance, could take this series, no sweat. But by the looks of things, probably not going to happen. Don't get me wrong I WANT THEM TO WIN! Oh by the way does anybody know wtf Butt-ending even is? And why intent to injure is even a penalty? This is hockey, not croquet at the old folks home. Venting over.

Butt-ending has to do with basically hitting a player with the handle or "butt" end of the stick. Very similar to spearing, but not quite as severe if I remember right.
I agree with you colohockey... right now I think Tudor Floru would be quite an improvement ... and we all know what kind of hard-on he has against the Eagles. Maybe it's rubbing off on the rest of the officiating pool in the CHL. Sad.

That's kind of what I thought. I'm sure Reeder did it out of retaliation from some dumb@ss move on Texas' part, that of course wasn't seen. Maybe they should bring in refs that didn't work in the CHL all season long so there can't be any bias based on the teams themselves, but just call 'em as you see 'em.

You know what also pisses me off a little is the fact that the league is finding every excuse for Texas to win. Twice now they have had little blurbs about finals series' in the past and how if a team this game or that game then they won the cup. Apparently everybody really does hate the Eagles.

Well, when you look at the big picture you have to see the green eyed monster lurking behind it. The Eagles have been in the league for 6 years now, and have had unbelieveable and unprecedented success in such a short span. 6 division titles, 3 league titles, 4 trips to the President's Cup finals, and Two cups on the shelf. Not to mention the fact of the longest minor-pro hockey home ice sellout streak... I guess they all want that kind of success, but somehow & some way it works for the Colorado Eagles and not for any of the teams that have been in the league for quite some time now. The Eagles & their success have been great for the CHL, and it shows by the way the league has grown in popularity and population. Success is sweet, but does bring out the worst in people who are not enjoying it like wwe are as fans of the Eagles.

just hoping we respond like we did after that butt kicking we took from the kings in the last series. Texas can relly score well, good ones or bad ones they get it in the net. I'd like to see skill against skill period. wonder how it would turn out. GO EAGLES!

Does anyone else think that Cey should start tomorrow's game? I mean I love Penner, but the dude needs a break. Sims is what helped the 'Kings turn their series around, maybe Cey could do the same for us. And if Tobler comes back, that could really throw Texas off.

Yeah, I wouldn't be so sure. I hope the Eagles can bring it back up here, but if it comes back up here I want them to win(obviously) but because I can't watch the other team raise the cup two years in a row in our barn. Yet again Eddy McG is our lone hero; and yet again the powerplays favor the Texas Brahmas 3-1. Only hope I see is that the win Colorado has, was with Sylvain and if it is a patterned rotation, tomorrow is his turn. We will see. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna freak out if Cey doesn't get the start tomorrow, obviously Pens is tired and frustrated, Cey can't just be put into these messes and expect to be a miracle worker. Keep on truckin boys!

All I can say is that Wayne Bonney (CHL Supervisor of Officials) better look into this disparity in calls. I'll admit that I am not at every game, and don't get to see every play & penalty, but I have never in all my years of following hockey have seen such a bias in penalty minutes in a series at any level than I have seen here. Granted, I am an Eagles fan, but if the tables were turned I would feel a little guilty about having the ref and their calls in my back pocket like this. It is a well known fact that you cannot play the game from the penalty box, and with every call that goes Texas' way, the Eagles get more frustrated and tend to commit stupid penalties out of disgust and desperation. After the blatant non calls in the Memphis-Mississippi (whatever they're deciding to be from this year) series by Lemelein (sp?) that cost us Tobler and Hogg, I thought his a$$ would be sitting on the golf course by now. I said it before, I would much rather have Timm Walsh and Tudor Floru officiating this series, even though their biases versus the Eagles is well known and documented. If you hear the referee's name this much in a broadcast of the game, he is trying to be too much of a factor. Hell, I'd even bet that Ed Hochuli could strap on the skates and blow less calls!

Come on guys have some faith in the players, but dont blame the officials for every thing. I said it before, ya;ll need to become hockey knowledge first then you will understand the game.,
Now that being said GO EAGLES GO.

From the CHL and Eagles Website: "The Brahmas have enjoyed a 22-8 advantage in power plays in the past two games alone and a 37-17 advantage in the series."
Now tell me, your royal pain-in-the-a$$-ness, do the numbers lie? Quit bellowing about everyone else's lack of hockey knowledge and see that we're stating facts.
I personally feel that the one's who do all the preaching, are more than likely the ones that need that lesson.

HK it's bad really bad.We have seen it first hand and CHLTV doesnt even come close to half the stuff the cows are pulling here before and after each whistle.
All the Eagles and staff know they need to keep out the box it will be fun to see tonight's game and see if they finally can in this series.

HK, shut the hell up! I'm so sick of you telling us we don't know near as much you do about hockey. Even if so, we know enough. The officiating is blatantly awful, and if someone can't see that, they are one of two things; blind/deaf/dumb or a Texas fan, but wait isn't that the same thing? Obviously the Eagles aren't playing 100% up to their potential but they are playing (or at least trying to) playoff hockey. I think it all comes down to defense. The Eagles can't seem to break Texas' defense and the Brahmas tear ours apart. It shows in the SOG. Honestly I would to see Tresierra put on the ice for one purpose, beating the living s*@t out of any Texas player, including the one in stripes . GO EAGLES!
