Why would Schneekloth get the "C"? No way should he get it before Nelly, or McGrane for that matter. Although I would rather see it on him than Tobler. Nelson is best suited for the role of Captain, he's calm, savvy and a true gentleman. I you ask me that is what a leader should be like. Not to mention he has been here since the Eagles came to Colorado.

But you forget, there are still two remaining from the Inaugural Year... Tobes and Riley. They were the core including Willy and Panks. There's only been one other Captain for the Eagles besides Panks, and that was Brent Thompson in 03-04. Who will take it this year? Any guess is as good as mine.

Why not Schneeks? It's not awarded to who's been with the team the longest. Schneeks has the on-ice qualities to wear the "C". My vote still goes to Nelly, but Schneeks would be my 2nd choice, based upon what we see "on-ice"... Off-ice matters a lot too, but we don't see too much of that.

I don't care whether Tobler has been here just as long as Nelly. He just isn't Captain material IMO. My rank would be: Nelson McGrane Schneekloth Tobler And it's almost a tie between Nelson and McGrane
